What about East West Rail?
East West Rail will create a new direct Oxford–Milton Keynes–Bedford–Cambridge route, removing the need to go to London for cross-country journeys. Bicester and the wider Cherwell area will benefit most — particularly for Science Vale and Cambridge tech cluster commutes. An April 2026 public consultation is underway on the route and station options. See our Oxford–Cambridge Arc guide for detail.
